Senior Financial Analyst

Amazon.com is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key business partner with Amazon's Digital Video leadership team. This role is highly visible with opportunities to make fast improvements to existing processes and expand the scope of their role. Primary responsibilities will include, creating performant, bespoke analyses in support of Digital Video business managers to analyze and forecast several high visibility areas within Digital Video. This role will automate forecasting processes and prepare and present reports to senior leaders within the business, and provide recommendations on forecast, process improvements, and drive those efforts to completion.
The right individual will have exceptional financial modeling skills, Tableau/Quip reporting experience, and solid business judgment capable of helping an organization make decisions. He or she will have operated successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment, and have the ability to influence the decisions of business partners through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives. The successful candidate must be able to think and act quickly under time pressure and manage multiple competing priorities effectively. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of superior financial and strategic analysis and developing/delivering recommendations based on this analysis. The successful candidate must display initiative in anticipating the business demands of senior-level business managers. This person must thrive in a fast-paced environment and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics. Amazon Digital Video is fast-growing, which means that employees are often asked to perform tasks with a range of difficulties. Candidates must be motivated, disciplined, and able to work effectively autonomously.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BA/BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering or similar discipline with analytical bias
· 5+ years of progressive Financial Leadership experience or education equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Prior experience in management consulting, public accounting, or investment banking is preferred
· Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
· Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
· Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
· MBA and/or CPA a plus
