Head of Talent Acquisition- AWS Japan

DESCRIPTION

The goal of the Talent Acquisition team is to enable business growth by finding and hiring the best talent for the company in a high growth and diverse environment. The Talent Acquisition Senior Manager will be responsible for leading and growing a team Recruiters in Japan and actively engaging with the key business stakeholders across the region.
Reporting to the Regional Director Talent Acquisition, APJ, this role will be responsible for setting the direction/strategy for the TA function to support the hiring demands of our rapidly growing business in addition to proactively driving innovation across the team. As part of the Asia Pacific & Japan leadership team, s/he will interact with the recruiting leadership team and business leaders to understand how to best position AWS in the market while ensure candidate experience is front of mind.
OBJECTIVES/DELIVERABLES
Recruitment Coordination & Operations:
· Lead & build and actively manage an experienced team of Recruiters/Sourcers
· Setting the direction/strategy of the team to help support the hiring demand of our rapidly growing businesses
· Optimize operational process flows and identify ways to deliver a consistent, scalable, customer obsessed recruitment experience to all stakeholders
· Drive simplification and increase productivity across the team
· Capacity planning to ensure the team is adequately staffed to prevent drops in productivity or support
· Own the roadmap for the AWS team and will work globally with team outside of the US to make sure we are aligned in how we support the global AWS businesses and recruiting teams
· Drive the best possible candidate and referee experience, delivering on key internal SLA’s
· Drive candidate feedback surveys and participate in other recruiting/HR initiatives to provide the best recruiting support

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience people manager with proven track record in mentoring, coaching and developing a team Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, senior leaders and peers alike
· A highly structured and organised individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Track record of managing a high performing Talent Acquisition team
· Experience in managing direct and/or virtual teams of no less than 8+ years
· Ability to prioritize, make high quality judgments and decisions quickly
· A high attention to detail to identify risks, dive deep and discover the key cause and impact of options, decisions and outcomes;
· Have a bias for action and a hunger for delivering results with relentless high standards·
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
· Excellent MS Excel skills
· Microsoft project expertise
