Senior Product Manager - FBA Selection

Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is searching for a senior product manager for FBA Selection. FBA is a fast growing business built around Amazon’s world class capability in Ordering, Fulfilment, Transportation, and Customer Service. The successful candidate will create, develop, and drive solutions that lead to our mission of “Earth’s Biggest Selection” in FBA in Japan.
The role requires a strong blend of bias for action and insist on the highest standard attitude with the ability to conduct in-depth data analyses, think big and identify strategic issues over the long-term. The successful candidate will work closely with Amazon’s category teams, sales and marketing, supply chain, finance departments and business leaders in Japan, as well as with FBA’s product management and operations teams across geographies.

Your responsibilities will include:
1. Identifying opportunities and developing plans to expand FBA selection based on data analysis and Seller interviews, with coordination among FBA business partners in the US and other marketplaces, finance partners, Retail Category teams, sales and marketing to assure its feasibility.
2. Executing action items based on the selection expansion plan by working with sales, account management, online marketing and technical support, including weekly / monthly metrics tracking against target, business impact analysis and reporting to business leadership teams.
3. Managing business program with a long term vision to contribute FBA business growth and participating developing a business growth plan of FBA and Selling on Amazon in Japan.
4. Writing business and technical requirements documents and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business and development teams
Our team is inventing new and exciting technology and programs for Sellers, and you will own a big part of this. You will work closely with talented business, operations and supply chain teams locally, and product managers and developers across locales launching new programs and functions while managing the existing platform. You'll perform deep analytics on the customer experience, defining success criteria, and measuring the impact of your innovations.
A successful candidate will have strong customer experience intuition, business experience, and product management skills. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skill with multiple internal stakeholders to earn their trust. Stakeholder must be fluent in both Japanese and English.
2. Excellent data analytic skill with utilizing Excel and SQL to extract relevant data sets from Data Ware House. Also requires experience gathering and analyzing large amounts of data and delivering continuous business improvements.
3. Outstanding problem solving and analytical skill with logical presentation. And high attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
4. Ability to work effectively with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and demonstrated experience working in a cross-functional capacity. Also requires a strong appetite for teamwork, and a just-do-it attitude.
