Technical Program Manager (TPM), Advertising Technology

Amazon's Advertising Technology team builds the technology infrastructure and ad-serving systems to manage
billions of advertising queries every day. The result is better quality advertising for publishers and more relevant
ads for customers. Our infrastructure supports millions of Internet users and handles billions of queries per day, all
delivered in milliseconds. Our data platform processes massive data sets to develop business intelligence and
analytics that are critical for the efficiency and profitability of our advertising business.
We are looking for a seasoned technical program manager for our Advertising team. This team builds and operates an advertising exchange that powers our programmatic advertising business. In this role, you will draw upon your understanding of digital advertising, technical product and business expertise to define and rapidly execute on cross-functional products, in partnership with business and program leaders across AmazonAdvertising. You will leverage your technical knowledge of distributed software systems to resolve ad-serving issues that manifest only at massive scale. You will bring great customer focus, the ability to rapidly prioritize and get things done and strong communication skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Product launch - partner with teams across Amazon Advertising to launch multiple products simultaneously on ambitious schedules.
· Engineering execution - drive crisp and timely prioritization based on customer impact and business opportunity
· Priority management - manage diverse requests and dependencies from world-wide teams
· Own sprint planning and execution using Agile practices.
· Process improvements – define, implement and continuously improve processes that improve delivery and
· operational efficiency.
· Stakeholder management – interface with and influence your stakeholders, balancing business needs vs. technical constraints and driving clarity in ambiguous situations.
· Operational Excellence – monitor metrics and program health, anticipate and clear blockers, manage escalations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
· 7+ years of relevant engineering experience
· 5+ years of technical program management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Master's degree in computer science, engineering or business.
· Prior experience with digital advertising and programmatic ad serving.
· Strong track record of delivering multiple large projects with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines.
· Software engineering experience with building and operating Internet-scale services and applications.
· Excellent communication skills – experience in writing and presenting comprehensive narratives on opportunity,
plans and results to senior management and stakeholders.
· Passion for building technology that delivers outstanding customer experiences.
· High judgment, superior negotiating skills and exceptional attention to details.
