Security Technical Program Manager

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security is seeking a technically deep Senior Technical Program Manager who is passionate about security of the cloud. The AWS Security team is responsible for the security for all services offered by AWS including EC2 and S3. In this role you will build, drive and measure AWS security posture. The objective of this program is to define the innovative preventative, detective and monitoring mechanisms to enable security. A key tenet of this program is the ability to execute security at scale. This team helps AWS and AWS Customers to utilize the cloud for critical workloads through the implementation of innovative security measures.
The successful candidate will join a team that thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will work directly with AWS service teams, infrastructure and administrative teams to identify opportunities to improve AWS’ security posture. You will drive the building of tooling, process improvements and work with service owners and cutting edge technology to develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges. You will be a positive influencer across diverse teams, be able to effectively rally support for your initiatives and be able to help deeply technical teams create simple solutions to meet the programs goals. You are able to handle business escalations with a data-driven approach.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, mathematics, or other related fields
· Minimum 6 years of experience in a security role in support of a highly technical environment
· Have a proven track record of positive engagement with security stakeholders

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Have a clear understanding of cloud computing services/deployment architecture.
· Are comfortable generating automated metrics to measure service and program effectiveness and consistency.
· Have experience driving security programs across large diverse organizations.
· Have working experience of operationalizing security requirements.
· Have a solid work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations; hands-on experience working successfully in a very fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
· Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
