We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to build our Product Information Engine. You and your team will build the platform to ingest data from Amazon's vast and varied stores of product information, understand unstructured and semi-structured data, index them, and serve back answers to users' questions in real time. The platform you build will improve the experience for millions of customers, learning from new data, user behavior, and better models.
In this role, you will design, develop, test, and deploy massively scalable services. You will investigate design tradeoffs, prototype and test different approaches, lead the development of new features, and launch and operate new services. Come and help us build the future!

· 3+ years of experience in software development
· Experience in object-oriented design and coding in Java, C++, or related technologies
· Experience developing cloud software services and designing for scalability, performance and reliability
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

· A Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
· Experience designing, building, launching, and operating internet-scale services for consumers
· Experience with machine learning, language understanding, and information retrieval systems
