The RDS Postgres team delivers and enhances the Postgres open source database as a service to thousands of Amazon customers. With only a few clicks our customers are able to provision a Postgres database fully configured to take advantage of the security, durability, and scalability of the AWS infrastructure. We are looking for seasoned developers accustomed to building highly performant, reliable, and scalable systems to join our team and help us take Postgres on AWS to new levels of functionality, performance, and scale.

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
· At least 4 years of commercial software development experience
· Experience with more than one of Java, C/C++, C#
· Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and/or distributed systems

· Experience in designing and building sophisticated fault-tolerant distributed systems
· Understanding of Service Oriented Architectures and design patterns.
· Expertise in databases internals
